A federally commissioned rapid-deployment housing program responding to housing shortages across Canada. PluginConstructions delivered 200 quality modular units across 5 provinces in under 6 months — a feat that would have been impossible with conventional construction.

The Challenge

The federal government needed to address acute housing shortages across multiple provinces simultaneously, with strict quality standards, accessibility requirements, and a 6-month deployment window. No single traditional contractor could staff five provincial sites at once.

Our Solution

We engineered a standardized modular unit that met National Building Code requirements in all 5 provincial jurisdictions. Units were produced in our Montréal factory and shipped by flatbed to each provincial site. Local certified crews handled foundation and utility work in parallel, enabling simultaneous deployment across all locations.
