Cité-des-Aînés Senior Residence
80 Units · Accessible Design · Longueuil, QC
An 80-unit fully accessible senior residence in Longueuil designed to exceed aging-in-place standards, with wide corridors, barrier-free suites, communal dining, and landscaped gardens. Delivered in 9 months — half the time of comparable traditionally-built residences.
The Challenge
The operator needed a high-quality senior residence with specialized accessibility requirements — wider corridors, roll-in showers, emergency call systems — all within a 9-month delivery window driven by provincial funding timelines. Traditional construction couldn't meet the schedule.
Our Solution
We designed suites with accessibility built in from day one — wider door frames, reinforced grab-bar blocking, roll-in shower pans — all installed at the factory. Communal spaces were produced as large-span modules. The 9-month schedule was achieved by running factory production and site work in parallel for 6 months.
